Rocky Point & Esperanza Orphanage 09'

I got the opportunity to once again, go give service at the Esperanza Orphanage in Rocky Point with Logan's family this year. We had such a great trip and even got to enjoy 3 days in Rocky Point for a little vacation.
Each year Logan's parents set up a huge project to give a group of 43 children a Christmas they wouldn't get if it wasn't for his parents. They have been doing it for many years and the last 2 years I have gotten a chance to tag along with them. It is such an eye opener each time to see all these kids so excited for the smallest things that we see in our every day life. It makes you really appreciate all that we have and how truly spoiled we are on Christmas...and especially how blessed I am to be able to spend Christmas with my family. You think about 43 kids without a family for Christmas time and it makes you so sad.
Logan (being he is all into the living green stuff) asked the main owner if he would be okay with Logan trying to raise money to provide the Orphanage Solar Panels which would make them have Free hot water and electric forever. I watched as Logan handed the owner the note written in Spanish what Logan was planning to do.. The owners eyes lit up and it looked like he was going to tear up. He immediately said YES YES YES and couldn't stop smiling. They spend $900.00 a month just on that stuff every single MONTH and none of the kids ever get to take hot showers..The hot water is only for the laundry room.. I can't imagine never taking a hot shower. :( So Logan is hoping to be able to raise enough money by Dec 10' to give this Orphanage something that will truly make a HUGE difference in their life. I will keep you posted on the website once its up and running.
