Devon's Wedding

DEVONS MARRIED!!

Still sounds weird to say... haha

She got married Saturday afternoon at the AZ Temple!

She looked very pretty, and her dress rocked!

The best part was when she decided to just throw her bouquet to her friends for "fun" and because she didn't have a reception! (Got hitched and were off on there honeymoon 2 hours later)

She threw her bouquet ONCE for none of her friends to catch it... gave us all a good laugh... Than she tried again (mind you, Devon isn't the best THROWER anyways.. so the bouquet never made it to where we were standing) the SECOND time no one caught it again... hahahaha! It was actually pretty funny and we all had a good laugh at the fact that BOTH times NO ONE caught it or made that much of an effort to catch it. (sorry for messing your bouquet up Devo hahaha)

This is a scary story-espcially because I have come across many expired things in the past or things I have probably had for awhile and not paid attention to the expiration date.. Or gotten from my moms cubbards that could very possibly be expired. haha. My mom doesn't agree with expiration dates 100%-only on certain things.. MOM THIS IS FOR YOU. CLEAN YOUR CUBBARDS OUT, I DONT WANT YOU KILLING ANY OF US WITH YOUR YUMMY BAKING!!! :) haha
"A student at HBHS (high school) had pancakes this week and it almost became fatal. His Mom (registered nurse) made him pancakes, dropped him off at school and headed to play tennis. She never takes her cell phone on the court but did this time and her son called to say he was having trouble breathing. She told him to go to the nurse immediately and proceeded to call school and alert the nurse. The nurse called the paramedics and they were there in 3 minutes and worked on the boy all the way to the hospital. He came so close to dying. Evidently this is more common then I ever knew.. Check the expiration dates on packages like pancakes and cake mixes that have yeast which over time develop spores. Apparently, the mold that forms in old mixes can be toxic! Throw away ALL OUTDATED pancake mix, Bisquick, brownie mixes etc you have in your home.

Girls Night was fun last night-went to the dollar movies-CANT beat 1.84 for a movie! (thanks colby for being my date and buying my ticket) They don't take debit cards YET and thats all I had. We saw Bride Wars which is a very cute movie in my opion, I would suggest it to anyone that hasn't seen it! Who wants to plan next weeks.. any takers?!?!?

and... Here is for your laughter! ha It made me laugh today when I saw it..

Brownie Cheesecake Bites

to make and try these wonders I found in a Kraft Foods magazine that my mom gave me!

(*note-these ones do not have the whip cream or the cherrys on it... but amazing with or without)
THOSE MAGAZINES ARE BAD NEWS, ESP this MONTHS becasue I have almost every page in this book marked whether its DINNER or SWEETS I want to make.. DANGEROUS I tell you!

Here is the reciept

1 pkg. (19 to 21 oz.) brownie mix (13x9-inch pan size)
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
20 maraschino cherries

HEAT oven to 350ºF.
PREPARE brownie batter as directed on package. Spoon into 20 paper-lined muffin cups.
BEAT cream cheese, sugar, egg, peanut butter and vanilla with mixer until blended. Spoon 1 rounded Tbsp. into center of batter in each cup, pressing down slightly into batter. Bake 30 min. or until centers are set. Cool.
SERVE topped with COOL WHIP and cherries.

ALSO...

I helped out at a branch on Chandler Blvd and Alma School Friday and again i'll be there on Monday.. All I can say is.. THE SHOPPING OVER THERE IS EVIL EVIL EVIL! I am glad I don't live over here because I would be in some major DEBT! On my quick hour lunch I went into ROSS and had about 5 things in my hand and wanted about 5 more home decor items I found and some summer dresses, needless to say I put everything down except for a pair of flip flops... some REALLY cute candle stick holders, and a Bargain $5.00 wall piece... SO MANY THINGS I WANT, SO LITTLE MONEY! But, this ross on Chandler blvd has some GOOOD things, LOTS, way better than the one on Warner and VV. Than I decided to NOT BE SMART again and quickly run into Nordstrom Rack.. I don't even know why I thought I could step foot in there with no money to spend because I wanted about 3 pairs of jeans all over $75.00 and I didn't even go close to the shirts because I got couldn't take the LOOKING and not actually BUYING part, so I walked out and left!!

If I wasn't going to Hawaii in 4 weeks im pretty sure my credit card would have a pretty nice balance on it. GRRRRRR!

Has 3 different size candle sticks. Super cute! We'll see if I keep them but.. it might be to hard to take them back once I get them out of the box!! :)

(Logan got a haircut :)) haha I keep on top of him and when it starts getting in his eyes I pound him until he actually goes to do it... (ITS HARD TO GET HIM TO ACTUALLY GO GET HIS HAIR CUT)) well... we just went to great clips cuz it was cheap and he has long shaggy hair anyways... well there was a *crazy* short*Mexican* non stop talker* lady that cut his hair.. The first thing she did when he sat down in the chair and she started combing his hair was say... : Oh man your hair looks bad" something along those lines and she started cracking up in her lil annoying mexican voice ( that i was trying not to laugh at the whole time) well... I walked over to see what she was laughing at and she kept saying "come look come look" well.. she proceeded to show me how uneven his hair was on the sides by his ears- yes it looked like CRAP. it was at least and inch or two difference on the sides in length and I told the lady-SOMEONE HERE AT THIS STORE CUT HIS HAIR LAST... well she used a razor on his hair and was done in 5 mins and it looked REAL GOOD! This lil annoying voice lady actually knows how to cut hair REAL GOOD! She didnt even touch one side of his hair by his ears because it was so much shorter than the other side she had to only cut the long side to get it even-pretty sad! (lynds think of LUPE cuz thats exactly what she reminded me of)

I couldn't ask him to smile cuz theres a chance he would say no and not let me take picture! hahaha

HAPPY late EASTER to everyone!

I had a good Easter full of events! I went to Logans parents for there Easter breakfast and helped prepare a scavendure easter egg hunt for his cousins and niece and had LOTS of good food! Than we went to my parents and had yet another VERY good meal of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, corn, deviled eggs, veggies and MORE!! :) I wish I could eat like this every day!! I WOULD BE ONE FAT GIRL! hahaha Of course I made a plate of desserts to take home and forgot them at my moms... along with a left over plate.. cuz later last night I was really craving all the left overs at my moms house!!

Girls night is WED... Movies! DOLLAR movies that is!!!

I will text everyone times.. I believe we are going to see Bridewars or Yes man!

Love Letters...

To start off... There are a lot of little neighborhood kids that are always playing outside with eachother where I live. All our houses are SUPER close together so theres not a TON of room for these kids to play so usually there all over everyones front door steps and patios and the streets and the playground area and bbq area, so forth so forth. Well theres a group of about 4 or 5 girls and usually one little boy that is super cute, that I always see playing outside and running around. (I should know there names by now and im sure they told me before being I see them almost every other day outside and they LOVE to talk and ask questions and are just curious about everything, all ages 10 and below) Well a few days ago it was one of the nice days out where the door stayed open and we had people over hanging out and it was in and out the doors to the pool area or so forth... this group of little girls came up to me and were wispering to eachother and finally said "should we tell her" and I was laughing and said what do you guys have to tell me... Than the oldest girl of the group said to me... " They both (pointing to her 2 friends next to her on there scooters) think Logan is so hot" hahahaha I just started cracking up laughing. Of course, I went along with it and asked them how they knew his name and they said they just asked him and they told him how hot they thought he was too. At this time all the little girls are aruging and getting embarssed and saying "No she does, No she does bla bla" I couldn't stop laughing because these little girls were rambling on about how cute they thought Logan was.

Well... for the next 30 mins to an hour they came ringing the doorbell every other 10 mins and by this time I started to get annoyed because they would just be little girls and giggle and so forth so I stopped answering the door and this is what they slid through our door for Logan.

A HOMEMADE LOVE LETTER TO LOGAN:

Okay, Is it just ME or is that weird for a little girl to write that in a love letter under the age of uhmm Ill say the girl named Courtney was about 7. "IM CRAVING YOU" hahaha I couldn't stop laughing, I laughed for a good 5 mins about this and so did everyone else. If I was that girls mother I don't think I would want my little girl writing a complete stranger a note saying she " CRAVES him" and informing him where she lived at... But, that just might be me.. But it sure did give me a GOOD laugh and made my day. NOW, everytime I see these girls im sure Logan will be the new subject! OH GOSH! haha

I guess Logan has a new 7 year old girlfriend!! :)

*Devon's BRIDAL Showers*

This Weekend we had Devon's Bridal showers. (Friends & EVERYONE showers)

We did the Friends one Friday night and we had Gecko grill Mini's, homemade beans and salsa, and of course the CHOCOLATE fountain!

As you can imagine the Friends shower was full of laughter and lots of humor! Devon got some faboulous presents and some hilarious presents as well, you have to have some fun/kinkyness in the presents! Devon played the "Im NIEVE" game pretty well even tho we all knew she wasn't that Nieve but it was the game face she played well! hahaha We will let it slide this time being she was so awkward! Colby provided a good Balloon popping game as well for us. Which didn't allow anyone to pop the balloon with there hands (pics below) We also played a "How well do you the groom..." hmmmm well the questions and answers I got from Joe made if difficult for us to believe Devon knew her soon to be husband... but it made for a BIG HUGE wad of bubble gum in her mouth. hahaha ALL IN ALL-it was a really good night and really funny one as well.

The following day was the BIG bridal shower for everyone that her Mom invited and friends. Being she isn't having a reception it made for a bigger bridal shower. My mom gave her the shower in her backyard and it turned out super cute! She did the rainbow theme being thats what Devon requested her colors be... My mom made it look as much as a reception as she could and it turned out SUPER cute for a Bridal shower I must say! Whats better than a Candy table at your bridal shower.. NOT MUCH! Let alone some amazing sugar cookies which are always a favorite of my moms and some really good Lunchin foods! Devon got LOTS and LOTS of very cute presents that I want for myself, ESP. the super super adorable chairs she got from her mom!

Both the showers turned out really fun and hopefully Devon enjoyed all the spotlight and fun!

Thanks girls for helping me out with the shower as well!
