Rocky Point, Mexico- PART 2

Rocky Point, Mexico-Vacation

After we went to the Orphanage we all went to Rocky Point and spent the next 3 days there. I really enjoy going to Mexico it is a fun place to get away and relax that isn't too far away! The weather was SO COLD the first two days!!! (26th & 27th) I felt like I was bundling up to go get in the snow, but no no there was no snow!! It was still beautiful weather even with the windy cold weather the first couple days, I got to see some AWESOME sunsets!!

We went shopping one day and explored rocky point, we ate lots of good mexican food :), Watched some movies and RELAXED!! Best part of the whole trip was being away from work and relaxing!! Work has become a stress job with all the changes going on with WAMU/CHASE so I defiently needed to get away and kick back for a few days, but as always 3 days off work just ISN'T enough!

I had a wonderful time in Mexico and hope I can go back soooooooooon!!!! Any takers?... Girls?

**One memory that I can look back on now and LAUGH that I couldn't do when it happened, had to do with the showers! AM I EVER SO GRATEFUL THAT WE HAVE SHOWERS IN THE US THAT DONT JUST SHUT OFF WHEN THEY WANT TO! Sunday morning I was taking a shower, even though I didn't want to wash my hair at all when Im there because as you all know my hair is LONG and THICK and takes forever to do... well the ONE time i decided to take a shower it turned off... Just after I had gotten conditioner in my hair and got body wash all over my body the water turned completly off! I was left in the shower yelling for help. (I WAS FREEZINGGGGG) I guess there was to many people taking a shower at the same time in the condos or something because it wouldnt go back on at all.. so in order to clean my body off from all the soap I had to fill up FREEZING cold and I mean FREEZING cold water from the sink in water bottles run back to the shower and pour them all over me till the soap was gone.. I wasn't about to do that with my hair. Logans mom warmed up water in the microwave and I had to wash my entire hair with bowls and bowls and bowls of warmed up water from the microwave.. yah just how long and hard do you think that was! So all in all I am more than grateful for SHOWERS! If I ever had to deal with that on a normal basis I would be BALD! haha**

Pictures from Vacation part of it...

*The condos we stayed in*

*Views from our balcony of our Resort/beach*

(Yes this picture needs to be this big.. so that you can all see this guys DREADS in his hair! This "Wannabe Jamican" had some INTENSE dreads once he took off his beanie and I wasn't going to let him get away without a picture of it!! This was a little Bob Marley shop he had in Rocky Point by the Fish Markets. He really thought he was jamican.. I think he has convinced himself he is Jamican.. He had Seashells through out his dreads-it was nasty but funny and cool at the same time! **Look close...his dreads are the thick ropes hanging around his neck hahaha**)

*Sunset night 1-All from balcony*

*Sunset Day 3-Favorite one!!-LOVE THIS PICTURE*

The Resort next to us had BEDS for anyones use all around the pool.. Pretty neat idea!! Take a nap by the pool... except it was FAR to cold to do that half the time we were there.

*We found darts and pool tables the last night we were there... DARTS IS A VERY FUN GAME! Thats my next investment!*

*This is 7 trees into ONE.. This tree was really cool, the whole time I thought it was ONE tree until i finally realized there was 7 trees that made ONE!* *ITS FREEEZZZZINNNNGGGGG

*It was FREEZINGGG outside... NO JOKE! You have no idea how many layers I have on here.. lets just say I had on 3 shirts-a cardigan sweater, a peacoat bigger jacket, a scarf, gloves, leggings, jeans, socks and slippers-BRRRR! :)*

Mostly Views of random things- I was more focused on taking some neat pictures instead of people pictures.. haha

All Pictures are taken with my new camera I got for Christmas- Thanks MOM :)

Orphanage-Rocky Point Mexico-PART 1

Esperanza Orphanage-Rocky Point, Mexico

The day after Christmas I went with Logan's family to an Orphanage down in Rocky Point, Mexico. For the past 5-8 years his family give this Orphanage Christmas the day after Christmas. THEY are the little kids CHRISTMAS and what they get for Christmas all comes from what we bring down to them. They fill up one of there cars with food and presents for each kid and than we spend the day at the Orphanage. It was an awesome experience and very very neat and an eye opener to see truly how fortnute we are... even though we may not think so. Logan and I got to play Santa this year to 34 children and we got to call off each kids name and hand each kid a big black garbage bag full of wrapped presents (toys, socks, underwear, and an outfit or two.) Each kid waited patiently for all the other children to get there bags and than they all opened them at once. Than we all spend the day helping each kid set up there new toys or play with there new toys, play board games, take pictures ect... The only hard part was not being able to understand or speak spanish... Each of these little children were esatic with the very little that they got. It was sad to see each of these kids without a family, with so little to play with and such a small place as there living quarters...BUT, it brought big smiles to your face to see how grateful and happy they were, each one of the kids would just keep giving you hugs and had the BIGGEST smiles on there face the entire day! It was an amazing experience and makes you feel so good inside knowing how much you did to make these kids have a Christmas! I am really happy that I got to have this experience!

(A little background about the Orphanage and Organization- Logans mom took into her hands giving them Christmas every year. She makes sure they have lots of food to eat and takes down as much as she can to stock up there kitchen. In Mexico when you are in the Orphanage you can not be adopted out, so once these kids are in there they are in there until they are of age to leave... One of the reasons they cant adopt them out is because you have to have there parents sign for it and most of the time you can't find there parents, there parents are in jail, parents beat them..therefore they don't want them to be adopted out..so forth (very sad) The owners treat each kid equally and treat them all as if they were there very own child.)

(All the Orhpanage kids)

**Pictures (overload)**

*This is the Orphanage...The first picture is where the kitchen and play area are..along with some bedrooms.. the second one is all rooms and bedrooms.*
*This is the owners family. The owners are in the back and they have 4 kids that are in the orphanage with them. They have a little house off to the side that the two parents and any volunteers they have stay in... They make there children sleep with all the other Orphanage kids so that they dont feel like there more special than any of the other children. I think thats a really neat how they do that, they dont favor there children over the 30 that are there with them.*

*This little boy was the newest addition to the Orphanage. He got there a week before Christmas so he was new to the whole Orphanage thing... Being there was 5 new kids since the time that Logans mom had talked to the Orphanage last she didn't have bags made up for these kids so we took a couple gifts out of other kids bags and made up some more bags for the new kids... After they all opened there gifts and all the kids were playing with there new toys this little boy was just sitting on the couch with his head down. (It was very very sad to see) So Logan and his brother grabbed two more wrapped toys and brought them over to him and had him open them, he instantly was happy once we started playing with him and he had friends and toys :)*

(The bags full of presents that each kid got)

*This little girl was probably my favorite one... she was so dang cute and always wanted to be around all of us. She kept stealing Logans sunglasses out of his pocket and putting them on. She would sneak up behind him and get them and than when he would turn around she was playing with his glasses on*

* All the older kids thought this was the neatest toy ever.. its one of those skateboard type things and you have to keep your balance as you go across the floor... Needless to say all the owners were very nervous!! ha*

*These girls are the older ones of the group... One is 16 and one is 17... Both of them got magazines and books in spanish in there bags (One of them got the Twlight book in Spanish :)) anyways.. it was awesome to see that out of everything they got they instantly started reading there books and didn't even bother to play with there toys first.. both of these girls read almost the entire time. Just shows how appreciative they were for a few small books and thats all they wanted to do is READ!*

Sorry about all the pictures, but there definetly worth seeing and seeing all of the Orphanage kids! They LOVED getting pictures taken because its not everyday they get there picture taken like we do!!
